Laminator Not Heating Up

Most of the time laminator problems are due to the operator making mistakes like feeding the pouches too quickly or forcefully or not waiting for the machine to heat up adequately before laminating.

Laminator not heating up. New motor for fellowes laminator. I have a fellowes mars a4 laminator which has just decided not to heat up and the light will not go green. If the document has an end outside the laminator hold the reverse button down for at least 20 seconds. It will usually take about 10 15 minutes to stabilize on initial warm up and unless the user is running the temperature at the maximum that the film can tolerate it does not affect the lamination.

Use the cleaning sheet that comes with your laminator to remove excess adhesive that has built up on the rollers. This latent heat will push the temperature up 10 to 20 degrees over the set temperature before stabilizing. Sticky rollers can not only cause jams they can leave blemishes on your laminated documents. The laminating pouch is half empty and the expert pouch jacket has not been used.

My laminator got jammed and i took the back off and managed to get it out when i put it back together and turned it on the rollers are working and the lights are working but the laminator is not heating up how can i fix it as it is not mine and i have borrowed it of my sister she s gona kill me lol. I have a fellows saturn 2a4 laminator which needs a new drive motor.
