Laminator heat settings. The compact design is great for any classroom or home office. With the flip of a switch you can opt to use the 3 mil heat setting for normal documents or the 5 mil setting for thinner papers. If papers get jammed in the laminating machine you can use the jam release lever to quickly and easily clear out the jam. If in doubt start with a lower heat setting and work your way up if laminating quality is not good.
When a laminating pouch has a rippled appearance after being run through the machine it probably means that the heat is set too high. Check your laminator manual to ensure the proper pouch mil thickness. This thermal laminator can also easily laminate a 9 inches document or photo just like the amazonbasics thermal laminator. There are the 3mil and 5mil heat settings in this product which can suit any type of document and laminating pouch that you have.
Most laminators have cold and hot lamination settings to provide maximum flexibility. Some inks and print materials can be impacted by the heat used in a heated roll laminator so a cold roll laminating machine is a good alternative. Cold lamination is your best option when laminating heat sensitive documents or photos. For most other smaller thermal pouch sizes use the 5 or 6 mil setting.
Cold roll laminators are also high volume laminating machines. As a result cold lamination requires specially designed laminating pouches containing sticky adhesive which do not require heat.
