A typical hot laminating film for printed documents activates at temperatures between 210 and 240 degrees. The laminate can really change the look of your images. So keep that in mind as well.
Inkjet printers dump a lot of ink onto the print and a rushed operator may try to laminate the image before the ink is completely dry. Clearjet makes laminating digital printing with dye based inks and water sensitive ink media combinations hassle free. Using an aqueous clear coat on aqueous dye or pigment ink will backfire as the clear coat dilutes the ink and prevents it from drying. The problem can be exacerbated by the fact that if a laminator is allowed to sit for extended periods of time without the rolls turning there can be varying degrees of temperature on different parts of the rolls.
Clearjet can be used on most substrates including canvas vinyl enamel receptive and non enamel receptive banners fibreglass wood metal plastic and paper.
